Belichick tenders apology for the sideline spying scandal

The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell had slapped the biggest ever fine of $500,000 on a National Football League coach when he found New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick guilty of violating the league rules by secretly videotaping the defensive tactics of the opposing sidelines. The Patriots team also came under the scanner of Roger Goodell as he imposed a hefty penalty of $250,000 on the team and asked them to forfeit the first round match in the 2008 season. Bellichick also issued a one paragraph statement of apology to his players, owners and staff and said that he had spoken about the interpretation of the league rules with Goodell.

In the press conference that followed after the incident leaked, Bellichick again apologized to everyone who were affected by his wrong deeds and was seen to be a totally confused man at the media conference. One of the most successful coaches in the history of the National Football league was seen to be totally upset over the whole issue and did not have any answers for the questions pounded at him by the media people about the scandal. He pleaded to the media to ask questions about the game and said that the statement covers all that he wants to say about the spying scandal.
