Belichick wants fresh legs in defense

The New England Patriots have decided that it is pace and athletic skills in the defense that will help them propel in the upcoming season and have gone all out to sign as many as five picks for their defense in the third round of the draft pick. All this only means that the head coach of the Patriots Bill Belichick is fully endorsing the view that younger and faster players are the need of the hour. The Patriots have picked faster players like Jerod Mayo and Wheatley on Saturday and the trend seemed to continue on Sunday as well.
Jonathan White also caught the eyes of the coach in the fourth round and in between all these defensive signing, Bill picked Kevin O’Connell, a San Diego state quarterback, and is the only offensive player that Patriots have signed the whole of last week. So, Pat fans can expect next season to be full of thrills and athleticism.
