Patriots adds Oliver Ross to their Offensive line list

The New England Patriots has added one more offensive lineman to their team by signing Oliver Ross on Monday. Oliver Ross, born in Culver City, California has played for teams like Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals. Till date, he has played 89 games and has had 53 career starts. He is an asset to any team in the right tackle position. Even though Patriots are having enough and more offensive line, it is expected that he will be given the right tackle position in Patriots. Oliver is playing his ninth season in NFL and his best season was with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Pats fans will surely purchase tickets to see his excellent performances that will help the team to scale greater heights.

Matchup of big-market teams

The New York Giants had a game with New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII pits two big-market teams against each other. Some sports books thought the Indianapolis Colts vs. Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI would crack $100 million last year. Caesars and the Hilton installed the Patriots as 14-point favorites as soon as Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes drilled his game-winning field goal.

The reason of their great success is connected with a series of important acquisitions that the team made during the season. They acquired Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Adalius Thomas, plus worked out a deal with Asante Samuel. Of course, they also had Tom Brady. Very soon this football team gained a well-deserved fame of a Super Bowl favorite.

Is There Any Rest for the Patriots?

It was a perfect regular season for the Patriots but the team are not going to rest. In fact, New England still has much to play for. The Patriots have won 17 consecutive regular-season games last year, one shy of their NFL record of 18 in a row set in 2003-04. As for the players, quarterback Tom Brady needs four touchdown passes to reach the league record of 49 set by Manning in 2004. Or, say, Randy Moss is three scoring receptions away from Jerry Rice who marked of 22 set in 1987. So, the team as a whole and its separate members has much to strive for. New England Patriots vs New York Jets

This is Week 14 of the NFL Picks… we have been witnessing an interesting matchup between the New England Patriots and New York Jets in a rematch of game 1 this season that led to “Spy Gate”. Not that successful for the Patriots though. After barely winning their previous two games New England totally dominated the Steelers last week for a convincing 34-13 victory. However, then they completed 32 of 35 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns. They didn’t have much of a running game with only 22 yards total but they certainly didn’t seem to need it. The victory clinched a first-round playoff bye, and the Patriots should be big favorites to take a 15-0 record into their season finale at the New York Giants.

The Patriots are a very strong team. They are the fifth in the NFL’s 88-year history to start a season with 13-0. They will host the 3-10 Jets at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts five days from now. One of the latest achievements of the undefeated New England Patriots is that they are favored by 26 points over the New York Jets, the highest betting line ever put out by Las Vegas Sports Consultants for a National Football League game.
